Miles is planning to spend 2/3 as many hrs bicycling this week as he did last week. Is Miles going to spend more hrs or fewer hrs bicycling this week than last week? ( I'm working on comparing fraction factors and products- multiplying fractions)

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: He would be spending less time because  2/3 is not a full number. Let's make an equation out of the: 2/3(m). Note: 3(2) means 3 times 2 and the m is the amount of miles biked last week. We could insert the number 3 to our equation. 2/3(3). Now if you do it the proper way, it is 2/3(3/1) and if you do the math it is 6/3 aka 2. And 2 is less than 3. So it is less time spent
Answer 2
Answer: Miles is going to spend less hours this week

Answer:

3/23

Step-by-step explanation:

Numbers of horses : 6

Number of total animals in farm : 28 + 12 + 6 = 46

The ratio of horses to toral animals : 6/46 ➡ simplified 3/23

46:6 because 28+12+6=46 which is the total number of animals and 6 is the number of horses
