Boilers

Boilers in the housing sector are used in order to provide the consumers with the heat and domestic hot water. They are the necessary equipment for single family houses and for multi-family buildings with the autonomous heating system. According to the used type of fuel there are the following types of boilers: gas boilers, electric boilers, biomass and liquid-fuel boilers, combined boilers. The Technology Selector contains the boilers that use the lowest amount of primary energy and have the lowest level of the СО2 emission. These are the biomass and gas boilers that are further divided into corresponding sub-categories.

The main criteria determining the energy efficiency of the boiler is the coefficient of efficiency. The higher coefficient is, the more efficient the boiler is – the boiler uses less fuel with the higher efficiency. Boilers included in the Technology Selector ‎have been assessed to result in at least a 20% higher energy performance than the market average.
